Accessibility statement

At Brackenridge, we live, breathe, and love accessibility. In this policy, we will outline how endeavour to make our website accessible.

Our website has been designed to facilitate an accessible customer experience. We believe that to be accessible our website must be inclusive and open to those we are trying to assist.

Our accessibility goals

Our aim is to ensure that our website is as accessible as possible. Our website and its content are developed with accessibility best practices in mind.

We use the industry standard Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 - External Link), and the New Zealand Government Web Standards (External Link) to guide us in creating an accessible experience.

We work with Access Advisors (External Link) to perform comprehensive access testing of our site. We also draw upon the shared knowledge of our diverse team and apply best practice.

We believe this makes our website more logical, simpler to read, better to understand and hopefully easier to help you find what you are looking for.

Our efforts

We have worked hard to make the website functional, engaging, and responsive for you. Here are some of the things we’ve done to help.

  • Alt text has been used on all our images

  • We have used a digital-first approach with all of our content

  • We regularly check the site to maintain access

  • You can view our website on multiple devices, and we have tested it on all major browsers and iOS and Android mobile operating systems.

Alternate formats

If you require any of our content in alternate formats please contact carolyn.stiles@brackenridge.org.nz

We are always looking for ways to improve our accessibility. If you find any issues or have any suggestions on what we could do better, please contact us at carolyn.stiles@brackenridge.org.nz.

Enjoy your visit and we hope you find the site user-friendly.
